Demand for traditional African vegetables like Managu (Night Shade), Terere (Amaranth), Kahùrùra, Mitoo, Kunde, Kanzira et al, has been on the rise in recent years.
Before planting them on a large scale, secure a market first, while also work on your distribution channels. Establishing a production cycle is also important to avoid overproduction when the market dips. #UkulimaSioUshamba

If your plan is to get into horticulture production in 2026, please consider doing a market survey first, establish a production cycle & have a water plan so that you’re in production all year round.
Have a good relationship with brokers because as much as you hate them, they will come through for you one day.
